Abbas Musawi, Hezbollah secretary general, died in a targeted killing carried out by Israeli Air Force helicopters. Hezbollah responded with two deadly attacks in Argentina, one on the Israeli embassy in March 1992 and the other on AMIA, the Jewish Community Center, in July 1993. Musawi was succeeded by Hassan Nasrallah, eliminated by Israel in 2024.
