Yahya Ayyash, known as "the engineer" because of his bomb-making expertise, was responsible for numerous attacks and dozens of Israeli deaths between 1994 and 1996. He was killed with a booby-trapped mobile phone, part of a joint operation led by the Shabak in cooperation with the Israeli Air Force and idf intelligence.
